Timeline is an envelope the length of a whole piece: a CV that travels from 0 to 1 over a set number of bars, following the shape you choose. Rise opens slowly, Fall closes, Arc goes up and comes back down, Triangle does the same with a corner in the middle, and Curve bends the path: 0.5 is straight, lower starts slow, higher starts fast. It counts from Play, so every press is a fresh start, and in Loop mode the curve goes round again. Patch it wherever an LFO is too restless: the filter cutoff, a VCA, the sampler position. That gives the patch an intro, a climax and an ending.

- Timeline over 16 bars, Rise → Filter Cutoff at 0.8: the piece starts muffled and opens up by the middle.
