Chance
Passes each event with a given probability
Open in the synth with a demo patch Open ModularWhat it does
Chance is a coin flip: every incoming event passes with the given probability and the rest are dropped. It is the simplest way to turn a mechanical rhythm into something alive: notes appear, then leave a gap. The lower the percentage, the sparser and more thoughtful the patch becomes.
Try this
Run Clock through Chance so some drum hits disappear at random.

Probability
Try this
- Clock 1/16 → Chance 20% → Voice with short notes: scattered droplets that never sit on the grid.
- Put two Chance modules in parallel from one Clock onto two voices: they will play together, then apart.
