EQ
Three bands, low, mid and high, each with its own gain
Open in the synth with a demo patch Open ModularWhat it does
EQ raises or lowers three regions of the spectrum. The low shelf acts on everything below the Low frequency, the high shelf on everything above the High frequency, and the middle band is a bell around Mid whose width is set by Q (narrow at 5, wide at 0.5). Each band's gain runs from −18 to +18 dB. Unlike a filter, an EQ does not cut things off, it colours: take out rumble at the bottom, add air at the top, notch out a nagging midrange.

Try this
- Low −6 dB and High +4 dB is the fastest way to make a pad airy and clear the mud under a drone.
- A narrow mid (Q 6) at +10 dB and a slow sweep of Mid from 300 to 3000 Hz: a hand-driven wah with no filter.
- Cut Low by −10 dB before a Reverb: the tail gets cleaner and stops booming.
