Additive
Eight harmonics with their own levels that slowly drift
Open in the synth with a demo patch Open ModularWhat it does
The Additive oscillator builds a tone from eight sines at multiples of the pitch. The bars are the level of each harmonic: only the first is a pure sine, all of them falling off is a saw, odd ones only is a clarinet, 1-2-4-8 is an organ. Drift gives every harmonic a slow random breath so the timbre never stands still — what organ and glass pads live on.

Try this
- Switch off every even harmonic for a hollow, clarinet-like colour.
- Drift 0.6–0.8 with a long attack on a Voice next to it: the spectrum shimmers.
- Two Additives a fifth apart with different harmonic sets — a bell drone.
