Oscillator
A simple tone generator at a fixed frequency

The oscillator is the most basic sound source: one waveform at one frequency. A sine is pure, a triangle a touch brighter, and saw and square are rich in harmonics, which makes them the most rewarding to run through a filter. Frequency is set in hertz, and Fine nudges it by fractions of a semitone: two oscillators a few cents apart beat against each other just like a Drone.

Try this
- A sine at 55 Hz under the whole mix is an invisible sub that makes the patch feel heavier.
- Patch an LFO → Pitch with a tiny amount (0.05) and the tone starts to wobble like an old tape.
- Two oscillators at Fine +7 and −7 cents into a Mixer give a slow shimmer.
