A chord sequencer that follows the degrees of a scale

Progression is a chord sequencer. Each step is not a note but a scale degree from I to VII: on every trigger it moves to the next step and builds the chord on that degree from the notes of the scale itself, so the harmony always stays diatonic. In a minor key the VI comes out major and the II diminished, just as in the textbook. Voicing picks the shape: a triad, a seventh chord, power (only the root and the fifth, hollow and strong) and open, where the middle voice is lifted an octave. Spread staggers the chord notes in time, like a strum. A switched-off step is a bar of silence.

Try this
- I – VI – IV – V in minor from a Clock at 1 bar is half of all pop music and most of the ambient that has harmony at all.
- Switch Scale from minor to Dorian without touching the degrees: same numbers, but the IV turns from minor to major.
- Progression → Voice with a 1–2 s attack and Spread at 80 ms: the chords do not strike, they emerge.
