Looper

Records a few bars and cycles them, with overdubbing

Open in the synth with a demo patch Open Modular

What it does

Looper is a tape loop: press Record and it captures as many bars as Bars says, then immediately starts cycling them. Overdub records a new layer on top of the old ones without erasing them, which is how a single voice becomes a many-layered bed. Decay sets how much quieter the old layers get with every pass (1 keeps them forever, 0.5 fades them within a couple of cycles) and Mix blends the loop with the direct signal. The loop length is derived from the BPM, so it always lands on the clock grid.
