About this earthquake
Nepal's worst disaster in 80 years. Hundreds of thousands of homes were destroyed, along with part of the UNESCO-listed monuments of the Kathmandu Valley. The quake-triggered avalanche on Everest made it the deadliest day in the mountain's history.
