- Synonym of Slave Craton, a sub-craton forming part of the Canadian Shield, the continental core of North America

From Slave Craton, from English Slavey, from Slave, from French Esclave, calque from Cree word for slave, the Cree exonym for the Slavey people, an Athabaskan aboriginal people who live in the region of the craton, particularly around the Great Slave Lake, itself also named for the Slavey.
