The time zone that encompasses most areas around the Rocky Mountains in the United States (except most of Arizona outside the Navajo Nation), Alberta, the cross-border city of Lloydminster and its surrounding rural municipalities in Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, southeastern British Columbia and the western third of Nunavut in Canada from the first Sunday of November to the second Sunday of March, and the states of Baja California Sur, Chihuahua (majority), Nayarit, Sinaloa and Sonora in Mexico year round; it is seven hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-7).
