1. A momentum technique within competitive Super Smash Bros. done by performing an air dodge diagonally into the ground.
2. A momentum technique, exploit or intentional, involving an aerial movement angled into the ground which causes a horizontal burst of speed along it.
3. A movement technique in competitive Tekken done by looping multiple crouch dashes into each other.

Etymology

From wave + dash, owing to the way characters move along the ground in a burst. The Tekken sense came first in the late 1990s, but the 2002 Super Smash Bros. sense was likely coined independently and has since become more prevalent.
