- The Taroko people, descendants of Truku Seediq people who moved to the east side of Formosa in the 16th century.
- Seediq, the language that is spoken by the Taroko people and the Seediq people in three main dialects (Truku, Toda or Tuuda, and Tgdaya or Tkdaya or Paran); in particular, its Truku dialect (which is sometimes considered to include Toda).
- Taroko National Park in Taiwan.
