Meanings

1. A creek in the Parting of the Waters region, Two Oceans Pass region, Wyoming, United States, along the Continental Divide; which splits into two distributaries, Pacific Creek and Atlantic Creek at Parting of the Waters, eventually reaching both oceans. During spring flood, water levels rise enough to allow fish to swim across the continental divide.

Etymology

From being the northern of two creeks in the region of Two Oceans Pass. From being at a place where a continental divide crosses, letting waters falling therm enter different oceans. The creek is named for and flows into two different oceans.
