Borrowed from Arabic نِظَامِيَّة (niẓāmiyya), from نِظَام [الْمُلْك] (“Nizam [al-Mulk]”) + ـِيَّة (-iyya). Ellipsis of مَدْرَسَة نِظَامِيَّة (madrasa niẓāmiyya, literally “Nizamian school”).
