- The time zone that encompasses the states around the Rocky Mountains in the United States, and in Alberta, the cross-border city of Lloydminster and its surrounding rural municipalities in Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, southeastern British Columbia and the western third of Nunavut in Canada from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November; it is six hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC-6), and one hour ahead of Mountain Standard Time.
