  1. The belief or theory that a particular group of people are chosen by God, or that they are descended from certain ancient figures or Biblical prophets.
  2. An intense, often unconditional, ideological or emotional attachment to the modern state of Israel, especially in the context of Jewish-American identity (see also Zionism and Pro-Israelism).
  3. The religion, culture, or identity of (the Land of) Israel, the Israelites, or descendants thereof.
