Borrowed from Hunsrik, representing a rarer spelling of Hunsrick. This word principally refers to the Hunsrück mountains in southwestern Germany (where the largest group of German settlers came from). However, it is also used of the language, e.g. Hunsrick spreche (“to speak Hunsrik”).
