Etymology
From EPR + telephone. From being a method of transmission (telephone) in non-linear quantum physics where faster-than-light (FTL) communication (non-local communication) is possible, as described in the EPR paradox proposed by Einstein, Poldolsky, Rosen, violating relativity.
