  1. Any of a group of diterpenoids, extracted from the sea hare Dolabella auricularia, that are inhibitors of a reverse transcriptase. They contain an eleven-member ring fused to a five-member ring, with methyl side groups on carbon 1,4 and 8, and isopropyl on position 12.
