  1. Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: specifying which time data is to be filled in: the day of the week and the calendar date, such as "Friday, 17 May".
  2. Designating the release of a film on multiple platforms, most commonly theatrical and home video, on the exact same day, or in very close proximity to each other.
