Borrowed from Japanese ダンデレ (dandere), a portmanteau of 黙り (danmari, “keeping completely silent”), emphatic noun form of verb 黙る (damaru, “to be silent”), and デレデレ (dere-dere, “in a lovey-dovey, infatuated, or lovestruck manner”, adverb).
