Etymology
Early villagers were employees of Baguio Country Club (who got ousted from its bunkhouses due to golf course expansions), and the Ibalois and Kankanaeys who moved in from Itogon. The villagers had multiple options to name their village: * "Italian Village" after the John Hay park on the south border * "Igorot Village" after the village inside the camp * "Country Club Village" after the people who were displaced from their bunkhouses The winner was "Country Club Village". It became a barangay on September 21, 1974.
