What PowerToys is
PowerToys is Microsoft’s collection of utilities for Windows. It solves small but frequent annoyances: window layouts, file renaming, color picking, command search, text extraction, keyboard management, keeping windows on top, and more.
The project is mainly C# and ships as one application with many modules. Users can enable only the utilities they need instead of installing a separate app for every small job.
What is inside
Well-known modules include FancyZones, PowerRename, Color Picker, Keyboard Manager, PowerToys Run, Text Extractor, Mouse Without Borders, Hosts File Editor, and File Locksmith. The features are small but useful many times a day.

Why it is useful
PowerToys adds power-user features to Windows without heavy system customization. It is especially useful on work machines where window layouts, screenshots, file names, and quick commands matter.
Limits
It is still a set of optional modules. Not every user needs the whole package, some features overlap with third-party apps, and managed company devices may restrict installation or updates.
