Tower defense, strategy and roguelite: an Earth colony simulates the defence of its outposts against the swarm.
You lead an expedition of colonists through a random sector of eight planets. Every cycle, scouts report which outposts the swarm will hit and with what. Before the attack you build and upgrade towers, walls and city buildings, turn the towers, set their power mode and priorities. Then the simulation runs, and you can no longer step in: the plan decides.
Energy is shared by the whole outpost. Generators fill the batteries, every shot drains them. Overdrive hits harder but empties the store fast, and then low-priority towers go quiet first. The swarm finds its own way to the city: walls and towers can make a maze, but you can never close the way completely.
Trials earn the expedition XP to spend on upgrades. Breaches wreck buildings and cost the HQ’s trust; run out of trust and the expedition is recalled. Take the system planet by planet — by landings — and kill the Queen on the hive world before the swarm outgrows the expedition. The data of every expedition stays at the HQ and unlocks new towers, buildings and threat levels.
The models were built by scripts in Blender; the game runs in the browser on desktop and phone, and keeps your progress in the browser.
